FounderWith nearly a decade of experience in journalism, public relations and event management, and as one of the youngest entrepreneurs to found a public relations firm, Maggie has garnered a reputation as a top communications executive and event planner.Prior to launching Spotlight Communications, Maggie wrote for USA Weekend Magazine, circulated to over 22 million readers each week, focusing on trend and pop culture stories. Her early career included a stint at Falco Ink, where she executed movie premieres for films including Shrek and The Anniversary Party, starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Alan Cumming, Kevin Klein and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Maggie is regularly interviewed on cultural trends and has recently appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, 20/20, CNN's Showbiz Tonight, Good Day New York and Good Day Atlanta. She is the host of AnimalPlanet.com's Pet Trends with Maggie & Dixie. She has been featured in Entrepreneur, PR Week, CosmoGirl!, Boston Herald, New York Daily News, Baltimore Sun, the Miami Herald and more. She is the Trend Expert for NY1 News and the topics of her segments range from throwing a red carpet bash to "it" accessories for the season. Kevin joined Spotlight in 2003, responsible for managing all operational logistics of this full service public relations firm. He works closely with each of Spotlight's clients to execute events, talent and VIP logistics. A graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, department of Drama, Kevin regularly draws from his artistic background in contributing to Spotlight's creative process, with a particular passion for writing powerful promotional copy. A senior media industry executive, Katherine's experience spans business, advocacy and entertainment communications with a proven track record in all aspects of public relations and public affairs, including corporate strategy and messaging, media relations, talent relations, viewer relations, as well as employee and industry communications. Urbon most recently led the corporate communications team at Lifetime Entertainment Services responsible for the internal and external profile for Lifetime Television as well as Lifetime's brand extensions and new businesses. Previously, Urbon climbed the communications ladder at Discovery Communications as the company grew from one cable network, The Discovery Channel, in to an international media powerhouse. Urbon began her career at the advertising agencies Border, Perrin & Norrander and Evergreen Media, followed by account positions at the public affairs offices of Hill and Knowlton and The Wexler Group, as well as media positions within the 1992 Presidential campaign and convention. Urbon received her Master of Arts in Public Communications from The American University in Washington, D.C. A Georgetown University graduate, Ali began her career in consulting, working with some of the nation's most prestigious fortune 500 companies. Eager for a faster-paced, creative environment in media, Ali segued into public relations. At Spotlight Communications, Ali takes particular pride in working with trendsetting clients to ensure their goals are surpassed. Texas-native Jennifer Bugler graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater. After making the move to New York City and discovering a passion for fashion and food, Jennifer pursued a career in public relations and worked with celebrity chef Bobby Flay's Bold Food Restaurant Group and Bullfrog & Baum, a restaurant publicity firm. When she joined Spotlight Communications, she was thrilled to "sink her teeth" into Spotlight's entertainment and lifestyle brands. |
